Great Eastern Takaful Berhad (GETB) continues to embed the upcycling culture amongst employees by organising a GETB-wide upcycling competition called GET-Up Battle in its quest to encourage all employees to make good choices when it comes to managing plastic usage and waste. More employees were trained to operate the 2-in-1 upcycling machine and produce new upcycled items such as rulers, comb, soap dish and bag clips.

This 1-month long competition starting in March 2023 aimed to foster cooperation amongst employees towards a common environmental goal while giving back to the community whereby all upcycled items will be distributed to the mass public during the environmental awareness program throughout the year.
