What you pay vs what you save

Here's where affordable healthcare becomes tangible. This is one of the main benefits of The Great Journey – more affordable healthcare. For example, if your clinic bill for the covered outpatient conditions is RM100, you only need to pay RM5 (which is the 5% co-takaful for outpatient treatment), while the remaining RM95 is fully covered by your medical plan. And if you are being referred and admitted to The Great Journey Hospital afterwards, you only need to pay the remaining deductible amount, aggregated with the co-takaful paid at the clinic just now. For example, with RM500 deductible applicable under your medical plan – for a hospital bill of RM10,000, you only pay RM495 (Deductible RM500 – RM5 co-takaful paid at clinic)!

If you seek treatment at clinics and hospitals outside of The Great Journey network:

• You may have to pay 100% upfront of the total clinic bill, and only 80% of the total clinic bill will be reimbursed later (For example, RM800 from a RM1,000 bill)
• If you are admitted to a hospital which is not listed under The Great Journey Hospital, expect to pay the full deductible amount + 20% co-takaful on the total bill net of deductible. For example, with RM500 deductible applicable under your medical plan — for a RM10,000 bill, that’s RM2,400 (RM500 + RM1,900) out-of-pocket!
