Sharing with the Community
Financial literacy
Driven by its “Reach for Great”, Great Eastern Takaful is committed to supporting communities through initiatives that uplift those in need and benefit society at large.
Financial literacy in schools
Great Eastern Takaful promotes financial literacy among students through Program Jelajah GREAT Hero Lestari. The programme integrates financial education with environmental awareness, equipping students with essential life skills while encouraging sustainable practices.
Through this initiative, Great Eastern Takaful aims to nurture a generation that is both financially responsible and environmentally conscious. In addition to building awareness about financial management, the programme highlights how everyday choices, including recycling and upcycling may contribute to both financial wellbeing and a more sustainable future. It also introduces students to the importance of protection planning and provides insights on opportunities within the takaful industry.
In line with our brand purpose, Reach for Great, our school engagement sessions are designed to be interactive, practical and impactful, creating a holistic learning experience for students.
Key elements embedded within the programme at school engagements include:
- Understanding money and its role in daily life
- Differentiating between needs and wants
- Practising responsible spending habits
- Building savings discipline
- Making informed financial decisions
- Environmental awareness through recycling and upcycling practices
Through Program Jelajah GREAT Hero Lestari, Great Eastern Takaful continues to empower students with practical knowledge, helping them make better financial decisions while inspiring them to contribute towards a more sustainable and responsible future
